Summary: AU. It is the spring of 1912 and Xander Harris, who has been living
with relatives in Ireland, is heading home. As a gift of love, he was booked
passage on the maiden voyage of the Titanic with the promise that it will be the
adventure of a lifetime.

Author's note: This story is NOT a retelling of any of the Titanic movies.
It is the tale of one man and one vampire forgotten by history and the destiny they
both find on this doomed crossing.

I'm trying to remember as much of the fic as I can, but it's rather pitiful.

Okay - Xander is either turned or close to it, Spike finds him and saves him (??) and takes him to a special *house* or hideaway he has, that's actually really nice. Thinking about it, I'm pretty sure that Xander was turned, probably due to some injury he'd suffered at the hands of his father?

I remember that Spike keeps getting violent with Xander, unexpectedly ... which eventually leads to Angel becoming involved.

Does this sound like anything any of you are familiar with? I've been searching Spanderfiles for a while now and haven't found just the one I'm searching for.

Help?

Ok, need a little help. Looking for a fic where Xan's back from Africa, been ostracized by the Scoobies, and Spike finds him. Xaner's trying to die. It turns out Xan found a watcher and slayer (in Africa) torturing little kids. Xan killed the children because they were dying and too far from help, and that's why the Scoobies cut him off. It takes Spike a while to piece together the story. I think they were somewhere in eastern US, but I'm not sure about that. Ring any bells?
